StealthText Support
Last updated: 2026-04-15
StealthText hides secret messages inside ordinary text using zero-width Unicode characters. It’s a small iOS utility from Almost to Code.
StealthText is not encryption. Anyone aware of the technique can extract the hidden text from a shared message. Use it to share notes in plain sight, not to protect anything security-critical.
Getting help
Email [email protected] with your question, bug report, or feature request. You’ll typically hear back within two business days — we read every message personally.
It helps if you include:
- Your iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- What you were trying to do
- What happened instead
If something crashed, a screenshot is worth a thousand words.
Common questions
My hidden message disappeared when I sent it over SMS. Green-bubble SMS and some social platforms strip zero-width Unicode characters. iMessage (blue bubbles) preserves them reliably. If you need the message to survive a round trip, stick to iMessage.
The reveal animation started but there’s no hidden message. The text contained the marker sequence by coincidence. Tap Reset to go back to the ready state.
I tipped the app but my Supporter status didn’t show up on a new device. In Settings, tap “Restore Purchases.” That syncs your tip status from your Apple ID.
Bug reports and feature requests
The same email works: [email protected]. StealthText is actively maintained and feedback genuinely shapes the roadmap.
